Avast Internet Security

Requires the following changes or it will create a security error when using a browser. Open Avast. Click Settings > Active Protection > Customize (Web Shield). Uncheck Enable HTTPS scanning. See the Avast screenshot attached to this article.

Trend Micro is a known vendor product that is not officially compatible

AVG Internet Security 2012

Windows XP; 7 (32-bit and 64-bit):

After the client system reboot, the client attempts to connect to the cloud service. The AVG Firewall asks for confirmation to allow Web Security Service permission to connect to the Internet. Grant permission; the client successfully connects to the cloud service, establishes tunnels, and applies policies.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2012

Windows XP; Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit):

During the Unified Agent installation, Kaspersky warns of a potential threatening action by the client installer. Allow the installation to proceed.

After installing the Unified Agent and rebooting the system, the application connects to the Web Security Service and creates the default tunnel. Policies are applied; however, all traffic forwards to the service as the default (non-interactive) user.

McAfee - Do Not Use

Windows XP; Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit):

May prevent the tunnel from connecting. Create a rule allowing the tunnel. Disable the firewall to test.

Sophos Endpoint Security and Control 9.5

Update to the latest databases.

Prevents the tunnel from connecting. No known workaround at this point. Disable the firewall to test.
