What is Relaxed Policy?

Overview

The Relaxed Policy feature allows access to YouTube and certain other selected websites more safely. It provides a set number of sessions per day, with each session lasting for a preset amount of time. YouTube Restricted Mode is automatically enforced to filter content according to YouTube's standards.

Default Settings

3 uses per day
15 minutes per use

These limits can be customized on a per-user basis depending on your platform.

How to Use Relaxed Policy

CloudVeil for Windows (CV4W) — From system tray or blocked page

Option 1: From System Tray

Right-click the CloudVeil for Windows icon in the system tray (near the clock)
Select Use Relaxed Policy
Your Relaxed Policy session will begin

Option 2: From a Blocked Page

Navigate to a blocked website (such as YouTube)
On the "Content Blocked by CloudVeil" page, click Request Relaxed Policy
Your Relaxed Policy session will begin

CloudVeil for Mac (CV4M) — From menu bar or blocked page

Option 1: From Menu Bar

Click the CloudVeil icon in the top bar (near the clock)
Select Use Relaxed Policy
Your Relaxed Policy session will begin

Option 2: From a Blocked Page

Navigate to a blocked website (such as YouTube)
On the "Content Blocked by CloudVeil" page, click Request Relaxed Policy
Your Relaxed Policy session will begin

CloudVeil Browser for Android (CV4A) — From blocked YouTube page

Open CloudVeil Browser for Android
Navigate to a blocked YouTube page
Click Use Relaxed Policy
Your Relaxed Policy session will begin

Note: Ensure the YouTube app has been disabled or deleted for the Relaxed Policy to work correctly.

CloudVeil Browser for iOS (CV4i) — From blocked YouTube page

Open CloudVeil Browser for iOS
Navigate to a blocked YouTube page
Click Use Relaxed Policy
Your Relaxed Policy session will begin

Note: Relaxed Policy is not available for subscriptions purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system. Contact support for assistance.

Options for Relaxed Policy

Windows & Mac (CV4W & CV4M)

Adjust the number of sessions per day
Adjust the length of each session
Add additional sites to the allowlist
Protect the Relaxed Policy with a passcode (see the passcode section below)

Android & iOS (CV4A & CV4i)

Adjust the number of sessions per day
Adjust the length of each session
Protect the Relaxed Policy with a passcode (see the passcode section below)

Disabling Relaxed Policy

Relaxed Policy can be disabled at the account level or per device. To disable the Relaxed Policy, please contact support for assistance.

Managing Relaxed Policy Passcode

CloudVeil for Windows (CV4W) & CloudVeil for Mac (CV4M)

To enable or manage the Relaxed Policy passcode:

Open the CloudVeil app (Windows or Mac)
Go to Relaxed Policy
Click on the Edit Relaxed Policy Passcode link
Follow the prompts to enable or update your passcode

CloudVeil Browser for Android (CV4A) & CloudVeil Browser for iOS (CV4i)
